Calling all budding authors! (And all those other people sitting there and silently mouthing, “Not me…”) The time has finally arrived for you to make your presence known in the literary world. You have been approached by WHS Publications to write a collection of short stories suitable for an audience of your peers. Your collection is to comprise of three to five original, type written stories compiled in a booklet form. From all stories collected, a selection will be chosen to be collated in a class book which will be presented to the library as a legacy of your writing talent.
No compilations will be accepted without the draft copies being presented. Your teacher (or their associates) will assist in the editing process as you refine your work of art. Class time will be allocated for the writing of the stories, however once stories have been checked, they may be typed at home.
So let your imagination run wild! Entertain, thrill, scare or make us laugh our heads off. (Figuratively, not literally.)
Due date – Friday June 11
Draft Checks – Fridays – May 14, 21 and 28
